Update: I started making class videos showing how to do many of the things I teach kids to do in class. Those videos are on my class Moodle so this site isn’t being updated. It’s all I can do to keep making and adding these videos to my class Moodle.

Using RSS to Keep Up

I have so many different class webpages. I have my teacher blog, I have the students’ blog, I have a HW and daily work site, and I have a class Moodle and class social networking site. How do students’ families keep up with all that? Well, you could skip it altogether and never visit my sites. No, don’t do that. You could ask your child. But what if he or she tells you that he or she is not sure? Well, then you could check each one of my sites every month or every week. That’s a lot of work. What if you could check them all in one place and just be alerted when there is something new to read? That is what RSS does! Watch this video to get started with RSS and to add my Science sites so that you can check them at your convenience.

Chimacum Schools Informed Consent Agreement

This podcast is the presentation I gave to students about our district’s acceptable use policy. The Informed Consent Agreement is a form filled out every year by students and parents. It is necessary to have one of these on file for every student to allow them access to our network and the Internet. If a student missed the lesson, please watch this video. If as a parent you want to see what this agreement is all about, watch this video. It’s about 10 1/2 minutes long.
