What is Twitter?

To see what Twitter is, search for something on Twitter. This will show you examples of what you can find on Twitter.

Another valuable resource on Twitter is this thing called hashtags. The CybraryMan has an extensive list of educational hashtags. Look at those on Twitter to see how they’re used (search for the hashtag of your choice using the Twitter search).

What do you think? Did you find anything useful or valuable? So the first thing you should see is that twitter isn’t just a place to tell people what you had for lunch. Do people do that on twitter? sure, but there’s so much more to it. As an educator I find a lot of value from what people share on twitter. I also use twitter to share what I find useful. That being said, it’s also cool to see what people are doing or where they’re going on vacation sometimes. Connecting to people means getting to know a little about them.
