Week 1, 4/9 to 4/13
(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute. Welcome back from Spring Break!)

Math, Course I (A Block)

Tuesday - Today we will begin Ch 8, doing sections 8-1 and 8-2.

HW = Study Guides 8-1 and 8-2.

Thursday - Today we will correct study guides 8-1 and 8-2. Then we will study sections 8-3 and 8-4. If we have time, we will do another NCS Mentor problem.

HW = Study Guides 8-3 and 8-4.

Science 2 (B Block)

Tuesday - We are continuing to plot recent earthquake activity on our world maps as part of our Earth Movement lesson. We will also finish section 2-1 of the class-only packet, and move on to section 2-2 on earthquakes and seismic waves.

Pages 54, 58 and 59 were due today.

Thursday - Today we had a Second Step lesson. We will continue to work on section 2-2 on seismic waves. Pages 60 and 66.

Social Studies (C Block)

Monday - Today we will be finishing up our South America maps and score them. If we have time, we will begin our study of Early Canada.

Wednesday - Had to finish the South America maps today, they are due today so if they weren't finished in class, students must finish them for homework.

Friday - Today we will begin studying Early Canada (we had a wonderful discussion). There was a Project Alert lesson today.

Science 3 (D Block)

Monday - We are continuing to plot recent earthquake activity on our world maps as part of our Earth Movement lesson. We will also finish section 2-1 of the class-only packet, and move on to section 2-2 on earthquakes and seismic waves.

Pages 54, 58 and 59 were due today.

Wednesday - We will continue to work on section 2-2 on seismic waves. Pages 60 and 66 were due today. We also watched Bill Nye on Volcanoes to start studying volcanoes.

Friday - Finished watching Bill Nye - Volcanoes and students turned in their notes on the show, then students read from packet 2-3, pages 67 to 74 in their groups.
