Math, Course I Week 1, 9/7 and 8  No Homework this week. Week 2, 9/11 to 9/15 Monday - Enrichment Sheet 1-1 and students are recording everything they eat as well as any physical activity they engage in for this entire week. Wednesday - Continue recording what you are eating and what activities you are engaging in daily (go to the Calorie Control Council to figure out how many calories). And, complete Study Guide 1-1 (problem solving with the four step plan). Friday - Add up the number of calories consumed and the number of calories burned off this week (we got the calorie numbers in class so finish for homework if you are not done). And, Study Guide 1-2 (rounding).

Science 2 (González) Week 1, 9/7 and 8 Parents need to sign Rules sheet and Internet Agreement form as well as read all course descriptions with their son/daughter. Week 2, 9/11 to 9/15 Monday - No Homework today. We began our Matter and Motion unit with a Word List organizing activity. Wednesday - We figured out how we are going to do the Matter and Motion unit, and there is no homework today. Friday - Students decided to split up the four lessons on Chapter one. Each student in each group will study one lesson or section, then teach their group what they learned. That way, we don't all have to read all four sections. The homework is to finish reading and answering the questions on the section you are doing, and bring some ideas for how you are going to teach it to your small group.

Social Studies Week 1, 9/7 and 8  Same as Science 2 (González) Week 2, 9/11 to 9/15 Tuesday - We are working on reviewing map skills out of the textbook. The only homework is to finish anything not completed in class. Thursday - Since it is an election year with some huge elections coming up, we are working on a Road to the Whitehouse project. Students have different tasks to complete and their homework is to look for any information to bring back to class. Students can use television news shows, magazine and newspaper articles, or any other sources.
