6th Grade Science
Monday -
Second drafts are due to me
today.
I will introduce
Chimacum Middle School's Water Quality
Project to students.
Students will
be shown the water quality
job list so they know which job to choose.
HW - Finish
your second draft if not yet. Tomorrow is the last day I will
accept the final draft for credit.
Tuesday -
Progress reports will be handed
out in class today and past work will be handed back. Students
will also sign up for the
jobs they want.
HW - Progress
reports were either handed out today or will be mailed home
within the next day or two. Please ask for or watch out for
your child's progress report.
Wednesday
- During
Early Release today, a representative from the North
Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC) will help train our kids in
the macroinvertebrate sampling procedure.
HW - None.
Thursday
- After choosing our
film crew, we will begin our research for the water
quality study. I let students know their jobs today.
I posted the
NOSC PowerPoint presentation
(with permission from the author of course) for students to use
for research ideas.
HW - None.
Friday -
We will continue our
research for the water quality study
as well as learning how to use the equipment. The new groups will
choose their cooperative
group jobs today.
HW - Bring
rain gear just in case.
