Homework/Daily Activities
Week 2, 2/10 to 2/14
(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

6th Grade Science

Monday - Students will continue to take notes for the Geology Project (textbook pages, 46 through 60, 74 through 86, 90 through 95, and 212 through 227). They may begin using the geology and soil websites once they are done with the text.

HW - Catch up if you need to!

Tuesday - Students will use their Geology Project notes to begin their 1st draft.

HW - Work on the first draft.

Wednesday - Students will finish their first drafts today.

Essay Required Elements.

HW - Finish the first draft.

Thursday - Students will peer edit their first drafts and write their second drafts, which are due tomorrow.

Third period will set fish traps today and they will collect and identify the fish tomorrow! (We are trapping fish along our section of the creek to identify them for the North Olympic Salmon Coalition - NOSC. This will add to the baseline data they need to plan future creek restoration projects. - None of our traps caught any fish this week.)

HW - Finish the second draft.

Friday - Students will turn in their second drafts, along with their first drafts and notes. Students will score them today, then turn them in for me to score.

Essay Required Elements.

If there is time, students will begin to storyboard their hyperstudio stack.

HW - Finish any and all drafts of the essay that are not yet turned in.

 

8th Grade Computers 2

Plan for this week:
Mon: In teams, choose a practice topic (can be anything at all, as long as it's school appropriate). Begin researching your topic using the Internet. Take notes.

Tues to Fri: Mr. González will show Inspiration so that students can use it to plan their practice websites. Continue researching topic and getting notes and/or ideas.
