Monday -
This week we will begin an
environmental Decisions, Decisions activity. (Decisions,
Decisions is a Tom Snyder
software production. I got a grant from Salute
to Educators to buy it!)
We began with
Step 1: Analyze the Situation. Each student is playing the role
of Mayor of Alpine. Each student plays that role by representing
one of four advisors (campaign manager, environmentalist, economist
or independent scientist).

Tuesday -
Today we will finish Step 1:
and move on to Step 2: Determine the Goals (this will be done
individually, as a small group, then as a whole class).

Wednesday
- Today each
class will consider their options and make the first decision!
We will see the effects of that decision and move on.

Thursday
- Today I will see Mrs.
Wyatt's class for periods 2 and 3 and Mr. Meacham's class for
periods 4 and 5.
We will continue
our Decisions, Decisions (we have four more critical decisions
to make!).

Today I will see Mrs.
Langston's class for periods 2 and 3 and Mr. Olafson's class for
periods 4 and 5.
