6th Grade Science
Monday -
Today students will begin the
research phase of their Earth Movement
project. Student teams need to study and monitor any earthquake
activity in their region.
Students will
take notes following the SCAN-n-RUN
as a guideline. Students will begin with the textbook, then move
on to the websites listed on the Earth
Movement webpage.
Here are the
book pages we will be studying and researching and taking notes
from: Prentice Hall's Science Explorer's
Earth Science pgs 112-113
(for all), 115-117 (for all), 119-137 (plate boundaries), 144-167
(earthquakes), 178-197 (volcanoes).

your topic at home for extra info or make-up any missing work
from weeks 1 to 5. Use the Earth
Movement webpage to
conduct research at home (I'm out of extra books because the
other grade levels are using them too). Notes need to be in
outline format.

Friday -
Today the 6th grade
teachers will meet with the 5th grade students to tell them about
next year. The 6th graders will be preparing for the 6th grade
track meet so not all the classes will meet today. We are very
pressed for time to finish this project.
