7th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will begin to study cells with a couple of short videos on the living cell.

HW - Work on whatever you have missing (from the progress report you got today - I gave everyone ideas for making up work).

Tuesday - Today we will finish watching our living cell video.

Wednesday - Today we should be starting an osmosis lab with eggs in different liquids.

We got as far as writing our problem, hypothesis and part way through our procedure.

HW - None

Thursday - Today we should be able to finish our procedure and weigh our eggs and measure their volume for our baseline data.

Then we will look at the Cells Alive website to continue learning about cells including the ways cells divide.

If anyone has been absent here is our lab write-up so far:

Per 4
Per 5

Friday - Today we will again weigh our eggs and measure their volume to see if our hypotheses were correct and to see how putting the eggs in deionized water and ethyl alcohol affected them.

Then students will complete their data table, graph and conclusion.

If we have time we will look at Cells Alive again.
