6th grade Science:

Monday - Note: I have 6th grade Science 1st, 5th, and 6th periods. The way that is working out is that I start the day's lesson with 5th and 6th period so that means 1st period will usually be one day behind. I wanted to mention this so parents don't get upset if their 1st period child seems one day behind. Sorry for the confusion.

Today students will get back to work on the water cycle activity. Those who still need to finish their benthic macro blog work can do that but I was expecting them to be done by last week since we worked on it all week.

Students will also continue to read each other's blog work, check the class social network to respond to questions and/or add questions of their own.

Wednesday - I will have a sub today so that I can work with the middle and high school Science teachers.

Today 6th graders will take a 10-week Check In Survey to see how they are doing in Science after 10 weeks in 6th grade.

Then students can continue to work on their water cycle activity.

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will be in the computer lab playing either Immune Attack or the NSquad game.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today I will give students a little more time to finish their experiment conclusions. Students will also take a survey about their experiences playing Immune Attack and the NSquad alcohol's effect on the body games.

HW - None

Wednesday - I will have a sub today so that I can work with the middle and high school Science teachers.

Today students will be taking their Unit 1 Assessment.

Once students are done with the assessment they either need to finish yesterday's survey or yesterday's experiment conclusions if they haven't already.

Then they are to use the class social network to respond to the questions of their peers and ask their own.

Once done with that they are to visit each other's blogs to read each other's conclusions to leave feedback in the form of comments. This is an important practice and students need to read multiple conclusions of their classmates before they can visit other school's blogs to read and leave them comments.

Thursday - Once everyone has finish taking the Unit 1 Assessment we will go over the answers together.

Otherwise, those who finished their Unit 1 Assessment yesterday will be responding to a question I posed on the class social network.
