Week 5, 4/23 to 4/27

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Note: I have 6th grade Science 1st, 5th, and 6th periods. The way that is working out is that I start the day's lesson with 5th and 6th period so that means 1st period will usually be one day behind. I wanted to mention that so that parents don't get upset if their 1st period child seems one day behind! Sorry for the confusion.

Today we will finish Energy, Machines, and Motion lesson 5, Inquiry 5.2. Students will begin the lesson 5 reflection questions, which includes questions about elastic force and gravitational force.

HW - None

Tuesday - Today we will go over the answers to the lesson 5 reflection questions.

Then students will work on their lesson 5 blog assignment as well as this week's blog challenge.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today students will get some more time to finish their lesson 5 blog assignment as well as this week's blog challenge so that we can start reading and commenting on each other's work.

If we have time we'll start lesson 6 on the force of friction!

Thursday - Today students worked on their week 7 blogger's challenge. Check out their creations.

Friday - Same as yesterday.

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will be working on wrapping our study of plants by completing some self assessments and reflections.

Some students need to finish their plant projects blog assignment, which needs to include an MLA bibliography with complete citations for each resource they used during their research.

HW - None

Tuesday - Same as yesterday. We will review how to leave feedback in the comments sections of our blogs.

4th period will be setting the fish traps today.

HW - None

Wednesday - Many students in both claases still need to finish their reflections and self-assessments and blog.

4th period will retrive the fish traps to identify and count the fish.

HW - None

Thursday - Today we will be in the computer lab taking the practice MSP Science test.

HW - None

Friday - Same as yesterday. We are in the process of learning how to answer the test questions.

HW - None
