6th Grade Science
Monday -
Second drafts
were returned today and new progress reports handed out.
Today students
will begin to write up their labs.
HW - Students
got their second drafts today. If their score was a 1 or a 2,
they must rewrite it for a better grade. If they got a 3 or
a 4, they may opt to make that their final draft so as not to
rewrite it.
Tuesday -
Today students will finish
writing up their labs, then they
will peer edit them and write their final draft.
HW - None,
unless students are behind in
which case they will need to finish as much as they can at home.
Wednesday
- Today
is the deadline for students to finish their lab
write-up. I would like to see the best draft to send over
to the 7th grade to be scored.
HW - None.
Thursday
- Today students will
trade papers with the 7th graders. We will score their lab
write-ups and they will score ours.
Students will
learn about storyboarding. I will
present the PowerPoint to show students what they need to do to
create a website to share all they have learned and the results
they got.
HW - None,
we will do this in class in the water quality teams.
Friday -
I am at a training today.
Students will watch a video on Lakes and Ponds, Bill Nye. Students
will take notes on a debrief sheet
from the movie.
The remainder
of the period will be used for note-taking
for the website project.
HW - None.
