We added six teachers to our mix and gave them a short, two-day immersion into the world of blogging and tweeting to connect to learn.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a website that I put together to help anyone interested in trying out blogging and tweeting: <a href=\"http:\/\/educatoral.com\/Social_Networking_for_PD\/Social_Networking_for_PD.html\">Social Networking for Professional Development<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Four of the six teachers <a href=\"http:\/\/educatoral.com\/Social_Networking_for_PD\/Blogging.html\">started a blog<\/a> right away:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/crowfewmets.blogspot.com\/\">Crow Fewmets<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/mrsfitzcounselingblog.wordpress.com\/\">Shiobhan Fitzpatrick A Middle School Counselor<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/teacherchristie.blogspot.com\/\">Birth to Five<\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/educatorshannon.blogspot.com\/\">Middle School &#8211; An Odyssey of its Own<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Still waiting on the other two (I will update once I get their links).<\/p>\n<p>They each <a href=\"http:\/\/educatoral.com\/Social_Networking_for_PD\/Twitter.html\">started Twitter accounts<\/a> on day 2 and we practiced using Twitter:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/panks_kathy\">Kathy Panks<\/a> (elementary school teacher)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/TeacherChristi1\">Christie Johnson<\/a> (preschool special education)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/mrsfitz_\">Shiobhan Fitzpatrick<\/a> (middle school counselor)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/educatorShannon\">Shannon Lowrie<\/a> (middle school language arts and history teacher)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/bfogerson\">Barb Fogerson<\/a> (high school counselor)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/#!\/DebraGilbreath\">Debra Gilbreath<\/a> (Chimacum Schools Librarian)<\/p>\n<p>Looking forward to staying connected this summer!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This was cross posted from the WA STEM Blog: Our program to have teachers use social networking to connect and learn from each other continued early this summer.
