Sixth graders have begun our Water Quality Project<\/a>. They are starting to learn how to take notes from the textbook in outline format<\/a>. While they use the book to study fresh water pollution I will start training teams to do their specific jobs<\/a> so we can begin our testing of Chimacum Creek. So far I am planning the Hood Canal field trips for November 7, 8 and 9 (I haven’t figured out which class will go on which day). This will all be very exciting as students do some great field work and research.<\/font><\/p>\n

Seventh graders have already taken many pictures<\/a> of the plants around the school and they are beginning to identify them in class! If you can help or if you have resources to help students identify the plants, please join us during 4th or 5th period. Also please keep sending empty milk cartons or 2L bottles so that we can use them to grow plants. We could also use some soil so if you can spare any we will use it.<\/font><\/p>\n
