Week 8, 3/19 to 3/23
(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute. Progress reports were given this week, that's the last time this quarter, so students can make up any missing work NOW.)

Math, Course I (A Block)

Tuesday - Today we will correct and collect study guides 7-3 and 7-4. Then we will study sections 7-5 and 7-6 in the book.

HW = Study Guides 7-5 and 7-6

Thursday - Today we will take the mid-chapter review on p. 256 as well as finish correcting the p. 255 practice. The we will correct and collect study guides 7-5 and 7-6. We will study sections 7-7 and 7-8 in the book.

Science 2 (B Block)

Tuesday - We are continuing to work on the Earth Movement project. We are also learning about earthquakes and volcanoes as we collect data for the Earth Movement project. We saw Bill Nye's episode on Earthquakes today (students completed and turned in a video debrief sheet).

Thursday - We had a second step lesson today with an activity that students turned in for a grade.

Today we will score as a class our Geology Final Drafts so that final grade can be included in this quarter. This draft will be worth a lot more than the previous drafts that show up in the progress report.

Social Studies (C Block)

Monday - Today we will continue working the Electoral Process project. At 9:30 am we will have another Project Alert lesson.

Wednesday - Today we will finish the Electoral Process project, and share results with the class.

Friday - Today we will finish the Electoral Process presentations, then we will work on the South America maps and study for the South America final test to be given once all maps are completed.

 

 

 

 

Science 3 (D Block)

Monday - We are continuing to work on the Earth Movement project. We are also learning about earthquakes and volcanoes as we collect data for the Earth Movement project.

Friday - We are going to continue checking the USGS website to record the current earthquakes and plot them on our maps. Students will finish plotting volcanoes on their map as well.

Then we will begin Ch 2 on earthquakes (this is not from their current science books, I have class packets that stay in class because I do not have enough to let students take home).
