The Ziff-Davis University page!
(This part of my website is old. I keep it because I think it's better to find this than an error message saying the page you are looking for cannot be found on this server. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.)
See my UW courses page.

I've found an excellent online resource for learning just about everything you'll need to know about the Internet, WWW publishing, Network stuff, and programming. Visit the ZD University site. I've taken C++, Database programming, CGI with Perl, Java Applets, JavaScripting, Advanced HTML, HTML 4.0, Optimizing your web site, creating graphics for the web with Paint Shop Pro and Abobe Photoshop, Dynamic HTML, Stylesheets, Internet searching, and accessing the internet through your LAN classes all for only $4.95 a month (not including, of course, the texts)! I'm going to take another CGI class (for non-progammers!) a VRML (3-D web graphics) and a Front Page class in Jan and Feb of '98. It's intense, fun, and you learn at your own rate right from your own computer. I must say though, that considering the number of classes I've taken in such a short amount of time, I bit off much more than I could chew. I have not mastered most of the aforementioned classes, I just know a little bit more about most of those topics. I can make a web page though.

ZDU offers you the chance to get Continuing Education Units for any and all the classes you take. The professionals are using these ZDU classes so I thought I'd give it a try and I'm hooked (and they're not even paying me for this!).

Visit the page I made for my Java Applets class, my Graphics class, and a very small testing ground for my JavaScript class (which also serves as an example page for my Adv Tech class at Chimacum). The other classes don't have pages because I'm incorporating what I've learned there into these very pages.
