and Solana Jolie González

My wonderful wife, Elizabeth, and I moved up here to Washington after spending what seemed like an eternity in Los Angeles, CA. I taught 4th & 5th grade in South Central L.A. and my wife worked in the Valley. We lived in Culver City so her drive was excruciating (she had to take the 405!) and my drive was just plain ugly. We got tired of that and decided to live somewhere beautiful with trees. My job here is just perfect. I teach 6th grade at Chimacum Middle School and Elizabeth is doing something she loves, being a stay at home mom.

Elizabeth's talents range from making jewelry when she apprenticed with a Victorian jeweler in L.A. to silver smithing when she apprenticed with a silver smith in Port Townsend. In L.A. Elizabeth spent 14 years of her life playing at the hottest clubs in bands like Suicide Bride, Venus Envy and Tattoo Theater (to name a few). She sang up a storm and played flute and midi wind controller. Now she and I have taken up the greatest adventure of all, to raise our adopted son (he became legally free at 11am on March 20, 2000, the adoption was a success!) and our daughter (born April 14, 2003)! A friend here in WA told me, "if you want to get pregnant, adopt." We adopted when we were told that we couldn't get pregnant and then three years later, we had a baby girl! Both our children are miracles. We are truly blessed.

Blasts from our time in Washington:

By the Summer of 2008 our most loved Sam passed away. He just never came home. We still have Leo and Lunar with us.

Summer 2006 the goats were sold to very nice people (they were too much work)

May 2006 Elizabeth got Velvet for Mother's Day (a half Black Lab and Blue Healer puppy girl)

By the Fall of 2006 our beloved Cheyenne passed away.

June, 2005 we got two male nubian goats, Star and Cappy (short for Capricorn).

May, 2004 we got Zoo, our half White Shepherd/Husky dog.

January, 2004 Kali died. She was hit by a car.

July, 2003 Frankie, our Pembroke Welsch Corgi, passed away.

September, 2002 Kali gave birth to four kittens.

November, 2001 we got our cat, Kali the Calico.

November 9, 1998 we got Cheyenne, our Weimeraner puppy.

Pictures from when we built our house in January of 1998. Take a look.

Come and see some shots my wife, Elizabeth, took of Port Townsend when we first moved here.
