Mr.
González' Classes Homework/
Daily Activities
Week
6, 10/11 to 10/15
|
(This
may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done
in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed
at the last minute.)
Parents,
students have been encouraged to make up any missing assignments
or any assignments
where they scored low, so remind your children to turn in anything
they would like to see improve. Students have time to make up any
assignment but if I were them, I'd get my work
done
asap
and
turn
it in
sooner
better
than
later. Also parents, please read the notes I wrote for Week
5 under
Friday science, Friday language arts and Thursday and Friday Social
Studies. If you can come in to my class in the mornings anytime from
7:35am to 10:24am or in the afternoons anytime from 12:30pm to 2:10pm,
I could sure use your help. Having another adult in the room helping
students stay on task when they are working in groups, or just answering
their questions, and reminding students to pay attention when
we are having a class
discussion would
be great! That way more kids can learn and everyone will have a good
time being in school. If my kids don’t, or can't, listen then
they won’t
know what to do and won’t even know what questions to ask.
That’s when it’s difficult for me to help. Thank you.
Oh and if you can't come in and help, there is no pressure so please
don't feel like you have to.

and line plots and I have gone over line graphs as well).

Student Tech Corps - 3rd period
Monday - Today
we will skip Tech Corps to conduct a Jefferson County Healthy
Youth Survey. This helps the county keep track of what
services to provide our children.
Something very exciting
happened this year too for Student Tech Corps. Ron Kiser
from HP thought this program valuable enough to have his
company sponsor Chimacum Schools with a grant to start
it last year. It was a success.
This year, Chimacum Middle
School agreed to pay for the program because it is so valuable
for kids and teachers. Due to last year's success the Department
of Education has chosen Chimacum to sponsor this year with
another grant! They will publicize how our school was one
of the ones chosen and they will send representatives to
visit our school! This is very exciting and I am very glad
to be offering this incredible opportunity to my 6th graders.

Tuesday - We
will begin Unit 3 together. This is the unit on Networking,
