Monday - Today
I will show the class how to use the digital camera and
the digital camcorder. The plan is to have students film
each other as they work through the water
quality study of Chimacum Creek. Each group is responsible
for creating a five minute documentary of what they did
and what they learned throughout this project.

Tuesday - Today
we will skip science to work on getting ready for the math
test and to continue working on goal setting. I showed
a wonderful powerpoint presentation
that I found online.
HW - None
Wednesday - Today
we will not have science to give groups time to finish
their math test.

Thursday - Today
I plan to start testing our water. I think the easiest
thing to do is to have the probes groups go first. Only
two groups can be working at a time because we only have
one digital camcorder to record the process for the documentaries.
Today the plan is to have
group 2 film group 9 as they find the conductivity of the
water along with the turbidity.
Then group 3 will film
group 8 as they find the temperature of the water and the
relative humidity.
The rest of the class should
be finishing Ch 12, section 1 (everyone will go down to
the creek and play kickball in the grass while the four
groups are busy working - if any parents want to join us
and watch kids play kickball, that would be wonderful).
Students need to take notes in outline
format.
HW - None
Friday - Today
the plan is to have group 4 film group 7 as they find the
pH of the water along with the air pressure.
Then group 5 will film
group 6 as they find the dissolved oxygen of the water
and the flow rate.
Everyone will be finishing
Ch 12, section 1. Students need to take notes in outline
format.
Back in class, until SSR
or slightly past SSR, group 8 will film group 3 as they
test their water sample for pH and nitrates and phosphates content.
If we have time, group 9 will film group 2 as they
test their water sample for dissolved oxygen content.
