Mr. González' Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 8, 1/10 to 1/14

Math Monday - We will begin Investigation 4 with problem 4.1. I will also give students a binder check sheet so they remember to keep their binders organized. HW - ACE #'s 1 - 4, p 40. I will pass the tests back today and students have to fix the questions they got wrong. They need to follow the math correcting sheet. Tuesday - Correct the homework and begin problem 4-2. HW - ACE #'s 5 - 7 and 14 - 16 starting on p. 40. Wednesday - We are going to work on problem 4.3 today. We also began to work on the reflection on p. 45. HW - None, unless you haven't finished any homework or class problem or fixing your test. Then you do have homework. Thursday - We worked on the reflection on p. 45 and correct the homework. HW - Finish the reflection on p. 45. ACE #'s 17 and 18 on p. 42 are for extra credit only. Friday - Students will share their answers from the reflection on p. 45. HW - ACE #'s 17 and 18 on p. 42 are for extra credit for those who could use a couple more points.

Science Monday - Groups 6 through 10 will finish sharing their results (notes organizer sheet). Then students will continue to take notes on their specific, team topics from the websites I have found for them on my science webpage. HW - Students have to either redo or do their lab write-ups. I need to have those by Friday, Jan 21 at the latest! Tuesday - Students are ready to start storyboarding their notes into the websites they will become. HW - None Wednesday - Storyboard notes into the websites they will become. HW - None Thursday - Storyboard notes into the websites they will become. HW - None Friday - Storyboard notes into the websites they will become. Today we will also begin scoring the storyboards. HW - None

Language Arts Monday - Progress reports were handed out and work was passed back to students. HW - If the Cispus website need any work, I told students that they could come in at lunch. Tuesday - Students will continue to storyboard their Maya/Aztec/Inca WebQuest. HW - None Wednesday - Goal Setting! The next step. (We reviewed how to set goals and students were given the opportunity to reread and rewrite their goals. The challenge now is to keep reminding yourself of your goal and to stick to it until you reach it.) HW - None Thursday - Today we will have a district-wide emergency drill. This one is planned. It is expected to take about half an hour. HW - None Friday - Students will continue to storyboard their Maya/Aztec/Inca WebQuest. HW - None

Social Studies Monday - Students will continue to storyboard their Maya/Aztec/Inca WebQuest. HW - To improve the Market Day grade, students were asked to write a one page report on the country they were studying for Market Day. I asked for more than just factual information about the country, I'd like to see information about the culture and the people. I have books available for check out. Tuesday - Today we will have our weekly Second Step lesson. HW - None Wednesday - Students will continue to storyboard their Maya/Aztec/Inca WebQuest. HW - None Thursday - Students should be working on their Maya/Aztec/Inca WebQuest PowerPoint presentations. HW - None Friday - Today is our library day. HW - None
