Mr. González' Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 6, 1/23 to 1/27

Social Studies: Monday - Today each class still has one or two teams to present their Latin American Project reports and poster. Then students will work on their Phase 3 one-page ads. HW - If you did not complete your Latin American report and project this past weekend, then it's due tomorrow or Wednesday. Wednesday - Second Step today (5th period). Students will have some time to check their grammar and spelling on their Phase 3 one-page ads before we begin to work on Panama Canal project! We will most likely start studying the Panama Canal on Friday. HW - None because all the Latin American reports and projects were due today! Friday - Today we will work on our Panama Canal project. I will give students time to share their Phase 3 one-page ads before we start our Panama Canal project. HW - None Future plans: This week we need to finish our Latin America Project so that we can start studying Panama and its canal for the Ballard Locks field trip.

Science: Tuesday - Today we will work on EMM Lesson 6 on friction. We got through section 6.1 and almost through 6.2. HW - Turn in any work you are still missing (check the progress report you got last Friday). Thursday - Today we will finish EMM Lesson 6, we will finish section 6.2 and 6.3 today as well as do our reading. Few groups actually got to the reading. Unfortunately, we have to start Lesson 7 next week. I'll see if we have time later to come back to the reading for Lesson 6. HW - Check out the EMM Student Website for extra credit possibilities.
