HW/Daily Activities

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

May 4 is the midterm but progress reports were handed out Friday, April 28 so all my students should know how they are doing. If any student is receiving a low grade and has not raised it by this week, I will have the office mail another progress report home. May 5 is the deadline for Victoria field trip permission slips!

Daily Schedule
1st per - Exploratory - 7:45am to 8:37am
1st Block (Periods 2 & 3) - Science and/or Social Studies - 8:41am to 10:29am
Eagle Time: 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - Band/Choir - 11:36am to 12:28pm
2nd Block (Periods 5 & 6) - Science and/or Social Studies - 12:32pm to 2:20pm

Social Studies:

Monday - Today, as we continue to work on our Canadian Vacation Project, students will try to complete their basic information packets. Then they can start to work on their projects by researching the provinces and/or territories they were assigned.
HW - Any missing assignments are due this week along with Victoria Field Trip permission slips and money! We really need those turned in on time for our bus count and lunch and breakfast count. Thanks in advance for bringing all that in on time.
Wednesday - Students will continue to work on their Canadian Vacation Project Phase 1 projects. By today they should be planning what they need to do at home to finish their projects by May 10th!
3rd period - Project Alert with guest presenter, Kelly Matlock.
HW - Work on your Phase 1 project. In class you can work on research for your project but the creating of posters, dioramas, carvings, maps, drawings, etc needs to be done at home. It's due Wednesday, May 10 and we will only dedicate one more class day after today to work on it!
Friday - All field trip permission slips and parent forms and money is due today!
Today is the last chance to work on the Phase 1 province/territory projects in school. Anything not done by today is for homework. Teams that are done with Phase 1 may begin Phase 2.
HW - Hopefully you have everything turned in so that your only homework is to finish your Phase 1 province or territory project by Wednesday, May 10. I also completed a picture website of our school year! Check it out by clicking here.

Science:

Tuesday - Today students will begin to read their Water Quality Websites as they take notes using the Cornell Note-Taking Method that I taught them this past Friday. They have until May 9 to finish reading through their websites, taking notes, and learning their specific water quality jobs!
HW - Check the Social Studies section since that's where all the homework is!
Thursday - The official midterm is today!
