Monday - This
week we are still learning how to take Cornell
notes as I model on the overhead as students and I summarize
a web page together and take the notes together.
This week I'm also hoping all
teams can finish their Ch 12, section 1 outline notes so that
all teams can start going on the web to learn what their jobs
and newly collected data mean.
HW - I really need the field
trip permission forms back this week since our field trip is
next week.
Tuesday - I
will have a sub today as a group of us Math and Science teachers
meet today to conduct an HP grant lesson study.
Students will continue to work
on their notes. Those that are done with their book notes will
be working on their web note, Cornell
notes, as they learn their jobs and become experts.
HW - Same as Monday
Wednesday - Today
we will try and finish the practice Cornell
notes website on water quality.
HW - Same as Monday
Thursday - Today
we will finish practicing how to take Cornell
notes by filling in the
reflection column. Now all students are fully trained on taking
Cornell
notes.
Here is a copy of the notes
I took in class while students and I practiced (these are the
notes they copied off the board for those who were absent and
missed any of the notes):
Per 1
Per 2
Per 6
Be careful you don't print
all the pages because the documents above have a lot of blank
pages!
The rest of the period students
worked on their notes, either finishing the Ch 12, section
1 notes or working on their website job
specific notes.
HW - Same as Monday
Friday - Today
students will work on their
notes, either finishing the Ch 12, section 1 notes or working
on their website job specific
notes.
If we have time I still have
a few teams to train on some jobs they haven't done yet specifically
some DO groups haven't done pH yet and tannins hasn't been
done and neither has CO2.
HW - Students need to remember
which day next week they have their field trip so they can
dress appropriately and bring a sack lunch and snacks.
