Week 10, 11/5 to 11/9

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

Daily Schedule
1st per - 7:35am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - This week students will work on their notes, either finishing the Ch 12, section 1 notes or working on their website job specific notes. Most groups are finished with their book notes and by this week all students should be done. Each class will also take one day this week to conduct their Hood Canal site testing.

HW - Have a sack lunch and snack for your field trip and dress appropriately for the weather. We will be out all day and I don't want anyone to be miserable.

Tuesday - I will have a sub today but only for my 6th period class as we complete the second cycle of our HP grant lesson study.

Students will be working on the same thing as Monday.

HW - Same as Monday

Wednesday - I will have a sub today as I take one of my 6th grade Science classes on their Hood Canal field trip. 1st period goes today.

Students should be working on their website job specific notes.

HW - Same as Monday

Thursday - I will have a sub today as I take one of my 6th grade Science classes on their Hood Canal field trip. 2nd period goes today.

Students should be working on their website job specific notes.

HW - Same as Monday

Friday - I will have a sub today as I take one of my 6th grade Science classes on their Hood Canal field trip. 6th period goes today.

Students should be working on their website job specific notes.

HW - None

 

7th grade Science:

Monday - Today I will show kids the first three blog assignments. As websites get done and uploaded students will need to complete their blog assignments.

Then students will evaluate their websites by completing a website scoring sheet based on this website scoring rubric. They will complete one of those per team.

Then all students will complete an individual self-assessment questionnaire to reflect on their work throughout this project.

HW - Students can work on their blog assignments at home.

Tuesday - I will have a sub today as we complete the second cycle of our HP grant lesson study.

Today students will have time to finish their website scoring sheet and their individual self-assessment questionnaire. Then teams who still need to finish their websites can work on them one last time. Those that are done can work on their blog.

Those that are done with all of the above are ready to start my Plant Webquest!

I will finish uploading the students' plant ID websites next week after all my field trips.
