6th grade Science:

Monday - Today I will review how to complete blog assignment #2. Then students will have time to finish the EMM reading for lesson 4.
Period 6 also learned how to diagram energy transfers today.

Tuesday - Today we will finish correcting the EMM Lesson 4 reading.
Then we will start EMM Lesson 5 on Forces!

Wednesday - Today we will work on part one of lesson 5 on forces. Today's lab will find the relationship between the elastic force a rubber band can exert and how far it gets stretched.

Thursday - Today we will work on finishing part 1 of lesson 5 on elastic force.

Friday - Today we were still finishing up the questions on Student Sheet 5.1. First and second period both got to start reading the 5.2 section on the difference between mass and weight.

7th grade Science:

Monday - Today 7th graders will get new seats as we wrap up our classification of living things activity.

Tuesday - Today we will finish classification of living things.
Here is my sample page for this activity.
Then I will share some short videos of protists that I found on the Internet to show samples of that kingdom.

Wednesday - Today we will finish watching the protist videos I collected.
Then we will begin reading about hydroponics so we can start our gardens!

Thursday - Today we will continue to read our hydroponics resources so that we can prepare to start planting.
We split the sections in the reading so that we could jigsaw the whole document. Teams read parts that they began to share with the class (5th period will start sharing next week).
