Mr. González's Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 5, 9/29 to 10/3

6th grade Science: Monday - Today students who are not in the film crew or the bug group will choose from the remaining jobs. Then we will start to work on Water Quality in our notebooks. We will also do a KWL activity where students got to share their experiences and prior knowledge with rivers, streams, creeks and/or water quality or aquatic life. HW - None Tuesday - Today I will show students how to take notes in outline format using our Prentice Hall Earth Science textbook, Ch 12, section 3, page 411, on Fresh Water Pollution. HW - None Wednesday - Today students will continue to take notes in outline format using our Prentice Hall Earth Science textbook, Ch 12, section 3, page 411, on Fresh Water Pollution. HW - None Thursday - We are still practicing how to take outline notes. HW - None Friday - We are still practicing how to take outline notes. Today I let teams work on their own while I observed, helped, and gave them feedback. HW - None

8th grade Science: Monday - Today we will continue to work on editing the biome commercial movies. We also have a new blog assignment called 7 random facts. HW - Blog Tuesday - Today students will continue to edit their movies. HW - None Wednesday - Today I plan to show students how to export their movies into Quicktime movies so that we can move them to my laptop so we can view them all. HW - None Thursday - I will copy and transfer their movies so that we can watch them all. We are all scoring all the movies using a Biome Commercial Scoring Grid. Here is a copy of the Biome Commercial Rubric (from the PowerPoint they all downloaded on the first day of the project - so, yes, they all had this rubric). HW - None Friday - We will continue to watch the movies, score them and give teams feedback. HW - None
