(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

Last week 6th graders received a copy of their Science Progress Reports for the midterm. Eighth graders got a preliminary one last week as well and they got an updated one on Monday, Oct 13. Please click here if you did not get your child's progress report or if it was lost.

1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Today students will continue to work on their Ch 12, sections 3 and 1, book notes as I train teams on their water quality jobs.
HW - None
Tuesday - Today Alicia from North Olympic Salmon Coalition (NOSC) will be here to take all benthic macroinvertebrate teams down to Chimacum Creek to do their sampling. The rest of us will continue to work on book notes and training.
HW - None
Wednesday - Early release today so I will just make sure all teams are trained so that we can start collecting data on Chimacum Creek tomorrow.

Thursday - Today we will have the probes teams collect their data right on site at Chimacum Creek (under the bridge near Cenex).

Friday - Today kits groups will collect water samples to bring back to class to conduct their water quality tests.

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today students were using the class period to work on the following:

Ch 18, sect 2

Ch 18, sect 3

Retake Biomes Quiz after studying

Blog, new assignment posted.

We've been working on all of the above last week so students need to finish 1 and 2 so that we can correct them.

Tuesday - Same as yesterday only we need to correct Ch 18, section 2 at least today. Those who are ready and done with Ch 18 can retake their quiz after studying.

Wednesday - Early Relase and I'd like to get Ch 18, section 3 corrected.

Thursday - Today we will start an air pressure/study of gasses activity. Students will begin by taking the following Air Ideas Probe.
After students share their ideas with the class I will demo the probe for students to see if they were right or not.

Friday - Today students will whiteboard and share what they learned yesterday in their small groups about the demo with the balloons and the paper bags.
