Mr. González's Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 11, 11/10 to 11/14

6th grade Science: Monday - Non-Student Teacher Training Day. HW - None Tuesday - Veteran's Day. HW - None Wednesday - I will be meeting with my Math/Science PLC today so I will have a sub. First period will be working on taking notes on their job specialties using the Cornell Note-Taking Method. Sixth period will be taking notes but some teams are already starting the next phase (they are reading over their notes and writing the rough draft of their webpages). HW - Field Trip permission slips are coming home today. Please have those filled out and signed and returned to me by Friday for next week's field trips. Thursday - Same as yesterday. HW - Field trip permisson for Hood Canal water quality testing field trips. Friday - Field trip permission slips due today. First period is still working completing their job specialty notes using the Cornell Note-Taking Method. Sixth period will begin learning how to storyboard their ideas to create their websites. This period will be filmed today as well. HW - None, as long as the field trip permission slips were turned in today.

8th grade Science: Monday - Non-Student Teacher Training Day. HW - None Tuesday - Veteran's Day. HW - None Wednesday - Today 8th graders will have a sexual harassment presentation by our school counselor, Marilyn Sterbick. HW - None Thursday - Today we started a measurement activity where students learned and practiced some important Earth Science measuring skills. HW - I am still missing quite a few permission slips for the filming that is taking place tomorrow from 4th and 5th period. Friday - Today we are going to finish part two of yesterday's measurement activity. Then teams will whiteboard and share what they learned. Today 4th and 5th periods will be filmed. HW - None if your permission slip is turned in (4th and 5th periods only).
