Monday - This
week I am starting each class with a short clip or a short video
on water quality testing, DO problems, pH, other schools testing
waters, and rivers and streams. They will take anywhere from 2
minutes to 10 minutes or more with the longest video being 20
minutes long.
Teams have mostly completed
phase 1 of our water quality project
(working on completing their job
specialty notes using the Cornell
Note-Taking Method).
Many teams are done or are
working on phase 2. Phase 2 is to begin reading through their
notes and write their rough draft webpages, which will be peer
edited.
Many of the teams working
on phase 2 have also begun phase 3, some are even done with this
phase. Phase 3 is to peer edit their rough draft webpage information.
Several teams have begun phase
4 and a few are even done with this phase. Phase 4 is write their
second draft webpages by typing their information into Word on
their computers.
In Phase 5 teams will create
PowerPoint presentations to share what they learned and to share
their results and conclusions with their class. I have two teams
in 6th period who have begun this phase.
