6th grade Science:

Monday through Friday - This week and next week students will be working on their water quality websites! This is like a two-week final exam! It is the culminating activity of the entire project that we started the last week of September!! I've taught them everything I know (almost) so they can make great websites to show all they've learned.

March 3 I'll show teams how to make their bibliography and March 6 is the deadline for this project!

HW - Anything you need to complete this project.

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will go over the initial ideas to the isostasy prompt. Then we will begin our isostasy lab and collect data.

HW - Blogging!! These homework assignments are a little over 10% of the total grade so it makes a difference.

Tuesday - Today we will finish sharing all the data and figuring out what the relationship is between density and how high an object floats (like an iceberg, for example).

Then students will answer the following questions using an isostasy simulator.

HW - Same as Monday

Wednesday - Students will finish the density and buoyancy questions using the isostasy simulator.

HW - Same as Monday

Thursday - Today we went over the answers to the isostasy simulator questions.

HW - None

Friday - Today students will revisit our Earth 3-D maps to see what observations they can make based on elevation of oceans vs continents. Teams shared their observations.

HW - None
