Monday - Today I showed both classes the 6th period Water Quality Movie. Then I showed students how to evaluate their websites using a Website Evaluation tool I got off the Internet. It's what students are being taught to use so they can decide which websites are worth reading and using for research. Students will have this available to put into their portfolios.
Then I gave students a progress report showing their 2nd trimester grade and I was available to correct any errors or help them make any last minute changes or fixes.

Tuesday - Today I showed students how to set up their blog and how to complete their first assignment (to write about their water quality website and to make a link to it).
HW - Complete the first blog assignment.
Wednesday - Today we are going to go over how to leave comments on other students' blogs so that they can visit our water quality websites. I gave students time to leave some comments (well only those who have actually completed their first assignment).
Then we will begin to set up our new notebooks with table of contents and everything. Today we will have a new seating chart, too.

Thursday - Today I will give students a little more time to complete their notebook setup then we will begin our Energy, Machines, and Motion unit with a KWL (what you Know, what you Want to learn, and finally what you Learned - done after lesson 4) on batteries from lesson 2.
Afterward we will begin lesson 2.

Friday - Today students will do the lesson 2 lab where they will make their own battery out of zinc and copper strips put in copper sulfate solution. This will help us understand how batteries work.
