Week 5, 4/20 to 2/24

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

This week is the second of our two-week WASL testing. Students will be taking their tests Tuesday, Wednesday (only 7/8), and Thursday from 8:35 to 11am. Since that won't leave enough time to meet with all of our classes, two different periods wil be dropped each day we test.

Daily Schedule
1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Today we will work on Lesson 5 by investigating the elastic force of a rubber band.

HW - The Battery Blog Assignment is due if you if you haven't done it yet.

Tuesday - Today we will begin the lesson 5 lab to collect data on the elastic force of a rubber band.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today we will continue to work on lesson 5, part 5.1, on the elastic force of a rubber band.

HW - None

Thursday - Today we will continue working on lesson 5, part 5.1.

HW - None

Friday - Today period 6 will get to finish lesson 5 part 5.1.

HW - None

 

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today I shared some resources with students on P and S waves. We also discussed how tsunamis are caused and looked at the 2004 Asian Tsunami. Then we began working on an Energy Transformation Activity.

HW - None, unless you still owe me the Plate Tectonics blog (many students haven't done that one yet).

Tuesday - Today we will continue to work on our Energy Transformation Activity.

HW - None

Wednesday - Today students will continue to work on their Energy Transformation Activity.

HW - None

Thursday - Today we will finish checking the Energy Transformation Activity. Then we will start a follow-up earthquake activity.

HW - None

Friday - Today we will continue to work on the follow-up earthquake activity.

HW - None
