HW/Daily Activities

(This may change from day to day depending on how much we actually get done in class so check back often to make sure something wasn't changed at the last minute.)

Progress reports were handed to all 8th graders on Tuesday and to all 6th graders on Wednesday. I also uploaded those grades on my online progress report page.

Daily Schedule
1st per - 7:45am to 8:37am
2nd per - 8:41am to 9:33am
3rd per - 9:37am to 10:29am
Eagle Time - 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - 11:36am to 12:28pm
5th per - 12:32pm to 1:24pm
6th per - 1:28pm to 2:20pm

6th grade Science:

Monday - Today students will begin the lesson 6 lab, part 6.1, on friction.
HW - None, unless you haven't finished the Lesson 5, Forces, Blog
Tuesday - Today students will finish inquiry 6.1, on surface types, and begin inquiry 6.2, where they will work with the weight of the blocks.
HW - None
Wednesday - Today students collect data on changing the weight of the blocks, inquiry 6.2.
HW - Share your progress report with your parents.
Thursday - Today will finish inquiry 6.2 by graphing their results. Then we will begin working on inquiry 6.3 to test different surface areas.
HW - None
Friday - Today students will work on inquiry 6.3 by running the lab and collecting data.
HW - None

8th grade Science:

Monday - Today 2nd period will start the investigation of landforms using stream tables lab. Fourth and 5th periods will continue working on the investigation.
HW - None, if you have all your blogs done.
Tuesday - Today teams continued working on their investigation of landforms using stream tables lab.
HW - Share your progress report with your parents.
Wednesday - Today 4th period worked on their investigation of landforms using stream tables lab. Second period worked on Odyssey prep while 5th period worked on blogs.
HW - None
Thursday - Today second period will work on catching up with the stream table investigation while 4th and 5th periods work on Odyssey prep.
HW - None
Friday - Today teams will begin planning an investigation using the stream tables. They will start by choosing their variables and controls, writing their problems, hypothesis and procedure. (Lab write-up scoring rubric.)
