6th grade Science:

Monday - Students can use this website to complete all the Mt Saint Helens pages in their Cispus Trip Book.
HW - None
Tuesday - Some students might need some more time to finish the Science sections of their Cispus Trip Book so I will give them a little more time.
Then I showed students a Science survey on paper and an tech survey online they'll be taking. Students will also finish setting up and decorating their Science Notebooks.
HW - None
Wednesday - Today students will begin their Science survey and the online survey I mentioned yesterday all well as finish setting up and decorating their Science Notebooks (I will be giving students a table of contents, a five point notebook scoring rubric, a guidelines for Science drawings sheet, and I will also return their lab safety contracts all for gluing into the first three full pages of their notebooks - Click Here to see a movie of how those pages get glued or taped into your notebook).

Thursday - Today we will finish what we started yesterday.
Then I will go over cybersafety as the lesson for the Informed Consent Agreement that was sent home on Tuesday of the first week of school with my info packet.

Friday - Today I will finish the cybersafety lesson. Then I will do an introduction to our Mt Saint Helens/volcanoes project.

7/8 grade Science:

Monday - This week 7th graders will be doing long boat activities so I will have all 8th graders for Science.
Today we will look at evidence of global warming to prepare for debates. We will watch scenes from An Inconvenient Truth as students answer the following questions.

Tuesday - Today we will continue watching clips from An Inconvenient Truth so that students can get ideas for their position research.

Wednesday - Today we will finish watching clips from An Inconvenient Truth so that students can begin their position research.
HW - None
Thursday - Today 8th graders continued researching their global warming positions. We will finish preparing the week after next (that's the next time 7th graders will be out for long boats), when they will get to debate!

Friday - Seventh graders will be with us today so all my regular students will take a paper survey and an online survey. The paper survey asks Science questions and the online survey asks questions about technology. Students will also finish setting up and decorating their Science Notebooks.
