Mr. González's Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 13, 11/30 to 12/4

6th grade Science: Monday - All late and missing work needs to be turned in today! This week students will continue taking trips down to the creek to collect their water quality data for our Chimacum Creek Water Quality Project. Once we are done collecting data students will record their data in class then resume work on the The Case of the Mysterious Macros activitiy. HW - None as all missing work for the 1st trimester was due today. Tuesday - Today I will have a sub as I attend an Assessment for Learning training. Students will continue to work on their The Case of the Mysterious Macros activity. HW - None Wednesday - Today we will continue taking trips down to the creek to collect water quality data for our Chimacum Creek Water Quality Project. HW - None Thursday - Today is the last day of the trimester! Same as yesterday. 7/8 grade Science: Monday - All late and missing work needs to be turned in today! Today I will give everyone a bit more time to finish their Observation vs Inference summarizing questions. Then we will use 3-D maps of the Earth to make observations about the differences in elevation (small scale, medium scale and large scale observations). Students then made some inferences about their observations. (See our Earth Science webpage.) HW - None as all missing work for the 1st trimester was due today. Tuesday - Today I will have a sub as I attend an Assessment for Learning training. Students will continue to work on Ch 17 on weather. They will be reading section 2 and answer the section review questions. They can write the question, in which case their responses can be phrases, or they can choose to write full and complete sentence answers so they won't need to write the questions. HW - None Wednesday - Today students will continue to use 3-D maps of the Earth to make observations about the differences in elevation (small scale, medium scale and large scale observations). Students then made some inferences about their observations. (See our Earth Science webpage.) HW - None Thursday - Today is the last day of the trimester! Today teams will share their observations by whiteboarding the answers to Monday's question about the continents and ocean basins. HW - None Friday - Trimester Break - No School!
