Here's the plan for year 2 funds:

This year we need to purchase replacement batteries for the labquests, two more labquests, and charging stations for the labquests. We also need replacement chemicals for the dissolved oxygen probes and for the nitrates and ammonium probes.

The bulk of this year's funds will go towards purchasing 13 iPads for students to use for research, blog writing, and wiki creation. A component of this project has been sharing data and having conversations with students around the world. We do that through blogging. Each student will also have access to headphones so they can podcast as well.

With an extra $2,000 donated to this project so that all 6th graders can use the Solo Reading and Writing software I was able to purchase another five Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Netbook laptops. That will allow each and every student to have access to a computer! See my class layout.
