Dear Parents:

We have an exciting opportunity to raise money for the 6th grade science program!

We are taking part in a national fund-raising program sponsored by Tyson Foods. It’s called Tyson® Project A+™. As a participating Project A+ school, we can raise money for more resources for our class - anything we want. All we have to do to participate is clip and save Project A+ redemption labels from Tyson products that feature the Project A+ logo. Each label we collect is worth 24¢ for our school! Visit the Tyson Foods Products page to see which foods have the Project A+ label.

This year, our goal is to collect a total of 1,400 redemption labels so that we can purchase another Palm IIIc handheld computer (this will provide access to more students). If we collect more, then we can save money to buy another probe with a new sensor!

Our school’s Tyson Project A+ coordinator is Al González. He has set up a collection site in his room, 408, where you can drop off Tyson Project A+ redemption labels. Once we collect a minimum of 250 labels, we’ll submit them to Tyson Foods. Then we’ll be on our way to meeting this year’s goal!

Please help us out - and ask your friends, neighbors and relatives to help, as well. Please clip and save Tyson Project A+ redemption labels from various frozen Tyson products. Then drop them off at room 408 at any time.

If you’d like more information about the Tyson Project A+ program, please contact Al González at 732-4219 or al_gonzalez@csd49.org or check out the Tyson Project A+ web site, projectaplus.tyson.com.

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

P.S. As exciting as this is, please do not feel pressured to buy anything you don't ordinarily buy. I am not asking any parent to buy Tyson products just so that we can make money. I am only asking that if you do buy Tyson, clip off the label and send it to school with your child.
