Very diverse family; may need to identify them by ruling out the other families. All segments of antennae are about the same length; labium is thick and triangular; three plates at tip of abdomen are all the same length, often leaflike and pointed at the tips

First antennal segment is very long; body, legs, and plates at the end of the abdomen are long and thin; the middle of the labium has a deep notch with two prominent lobes; the middle plate at the tip of the abdomen is shorter than the two outer plates .
