After visiting Mt. Saint Helens while camping at Cispus with our entire 6th grade, I led my science classes through some more study of volcanos. I prepared a lesson on Internet research to study Mt. Saint Helens more closely and found the USGS site had up to date information especially the lava dome that has been forming in the crater ever since the eruption. The following handouts explain the process my kids experienced step-by-step.
