Lesson 1
- Bitmap vs. Vector Graphics.
- The Property Inspector and the Tools Panel.
- How to start a new document.
- How to save correctly (saving vs exporting).
Lesson 2
- Editing Bitmap Images.
- One pixel at a time or several pixels.
- Feathering (marquis, Select Feather, then Select,
Select Inverse and delete) and cropping (use the cropping tool and
hit return - another good one is to go to Modify, Canvas, Trim
Canvas).
- Working with Vector Graphics.
- Grid, Rulers and Guides.
- Basic shapes and lines.
- Fill color.
Lesson 3
- Adding text.
- Changing font, size, color and style.
- Positioning text and drawing a backdrop.
- Applying an effect (effects section of the property inspector
when you select a text object).

4
- Creating buttons (Modify, Symbol, Convert to Symbol then
make it a button - double click to add the up and over states).
- Converting graphics to buttons.
- Optimizing and Exporting (Window, Optimize - remember
only gifs can be made transparent).
Lesson
5
- Creating Animations! (Must export as an animated gif!!)
- Frame by Frame or Modify, Animation or Modify, Symbol,
Convert to Symbol and make it an animation.
- Setting frame delay.
- Animation looping.
- Tweening by going to Modify, Symbol, Tween Instances.
