Using Flash MX
Lesson 1
- Bitmap vs. Vector Graphics.
- The Timeline, Stage, Property Inspector, Tools and Panels.
- How to start a new document.
- On the timeline, select some frames, maybe 25. Then
select Insert, Frames.
- Draw your figure and rename the layer by double-clicking
where it says Layer 1.
- Click on the Insert Layer button (the one with the
plus) to add a new layer. Add a new layer for every new thing you
either draw or import.
- Insert Keyframes anywhere you want movement.
- Insert Create Motion Tween anywhere you want an object
to move along a path to somewhere else.
- Between the last Frame and the new Keyframe make sure
the X and Y positions have the same number (use the Info window to
find the X and Y positions).
- How to save correctly (saving vs exporting a movie).

- Exploring Layers (a separate layer for everything).
- Drawing on the stage.
- Importing Bitmap Images.
- Using pictures to move them and using pictures as
backgrounds.
- Adding frames and keyframes.
- Adding Motion Tweens.
- Adding a motion guide to make curved motion.

- Adding text.
- Changing font, size, color and style.
- Creating Buttons.
- Importing and adding sounds.
- Introduction to Action Scripting.
