This WebQuest asks students to think about heat transfer as it relates to their every day lives and to think of ways to improve energy efficiency in their homes.

Teacher Introduction

This WebQuest is an Expansion to a learning cycle on heat transfer. At this point in the learning cycle, students will be familiar with the three processes of heat transfer and will be able to describe these processes in their own words.

The purpose of this WebQuest is to solidify the concept of heat transfer and to make it personally relevant to each student. After reading two texts on heat transfer, the students will answer ten questions that summarize the main points of interest. Then, students will discover things they can do in and around their homes to improve energy efficiency, which is affected by heat transfer.
