Daily Schedule
1st per - Exploratory - 7:45am to 8:37am
1st Block (Periods 2 & 3) - Science and/or Social Studies - 8:41am to 10:29am
Eagle Time: 10:33am to 11:00am
Lunch - 11:00am to 11:32am
4th per - Band/Choir - 11:36am to 12:28pm
2nd Block (Periods 5 & 6) - Science and/or Social Studies - 12:32pm to 2:20pm

Social Studies:

Wednesday - Today is the deadline for the Aztec, Maya, and Inca WebQuest PowerPoints. If any teams are ready to present today, and we have time, we might just have them go today. I'm thinking of having teams do a practice presentation first (I find that after a practice presentation, they get much better).
3rd period - Project Alert with guest presenter, Kelly Matlock.
HW - Rehearse your PowerPoint notecards so you are ready to do your part.
Thursday - Today we will continue to do our Aztec, Maya, and Inca WebQuest practice Powerpoint presentations as students also get time to finish their PowerPoints and notecards. My morning class, 2/3 Block, is a bit behind so they will get some time to catch up and finish their PowerPoints.
We are on an early release schedule today for our Student-Led Conferences. What that means is that today we will only have 1st, 2nd, and 3rd period then Eagle Time, then lunch, then we will have our conferences. Tomorrow we will have 4th, 5th, and 6th periods in the morning.
HW - Student-Led Conferences today! Bring your parent and show off your work.
Friday - Today I will have my 5th and 6th period (afternoon) classes in the morning, then Eagle Time, then lunch, then everyone will be dismissed at 11:20am for Early Release.

We will continue to work on our Aztec, Maya, and Inca WebQuest practice Powerpoint presentations as students also get time to finish their PowerPoints and notecards. My afternoon class today is ready to begin their practice presentations!

Science:

Monday - We will continue to use our Water Quality notebooks as we continue to learn and practice how to take notes from our science textbook in outline format using the SCAN-n-RUN reading strategy. I am teaching students how to use the SCAN-n-RUN strategy and how to take notes in outline format. We will continue to read Chapter 12 sections 1 and 3 of our Science Explorer Earth Science textbook to take the notes.
Today I will start taking teams, one at a time, and train them on how to use their water quality testing kits and/or probes while the rest of the class works on their notes.
