Monday - The
plan was to begin
to work on phase 1 of our
Canadian Vacation Project.
But since we lost so much class time the week before Spring
Break, we will focus on Science today. We also have a few
presentations to finish. We'll get to them as soon as we
can.
We will continue to use
our Water
Quality notebooks as we continue to
take notes from our science textbook in outline
format using the SCAN-n-RUN reading
strategy. I taught students how to use the SCAN-n-RUN strategy
and how to take notes in outline
format. We will continue to read Chapter
12 sections 1 and 3 of our Science Explorer Earth Science
textbook to take the notes.
Today I will continue taking
teams, one at a time, and training them on how to use their
water quality testing kits and/or probes while the rest
of the class works on their notes.
HW - None, unless you haven't
turned in your field trip permission slips.
Wednesday - Today
we would have either
finished our remaining presentations or began to work on
phase 1 of our Canadian
Vacation Project.
Instead we needed to do
some last minute preparation for our upcoming field trips
tomorrow
and Friday. Teams made checklists of everything they were
going to need to take on the field trips.
3rd period - Project
Alert with guest presenter, Kelly Matlock.
End of 5th and 6th periods
- WASL practice (Math with Tools).
HW - My morning class,
2/3 block, be ready for our field trip tomorrow, which
includes bringing a
sack
lunch.
