6th grade Science:

Monday - Today 2nd period will complete the second half of EMM lesson 16 by trying out their design plan. Periods 1 and 4 will complete EMM lesson 15.
HW - None
Tuesday - Today we will begin our Water Quality Project by viewing videos that past film crews created. After this students will be able to choose jobs.
HW - None
Wednesday - We finished viewing the movies 6th graders made last year and the year before so that this year's film crew can see what to do and so everyone else can see what they will be doing.
HW - None
Thursday - Today we setup our Water Quality notebooks by adding the table of contents. Students decorated their first page by drawing their vision of a pristine water environment with aquatic life.

Friday - Today we did a KWL activity where students got to share their experiences and prior knowledge with rivers, streams, creeks and/or water quality or aquatic life.
We also changed seats so that students are in the water quality teams and jobs that they will have for the rest of the year! Yikes!

7th grade Science:

Monday - Check Earthquake site for new earthquakes.
As part of our Earth Movement project kids are still taking the first few minutes of class to check for any earthquakes happening in their region of the earth. We are almost done with this.
Students will then continue to work on taking notes on Ch 5, section 1 using the Outline Format.
HW - None
Tuesday - Once we are ready to start Ch 5, section 2 I will review the SCAN-n-RUN reading strategy.

Wednesday - Students will continue to work on taking notes on Ch 5, section 2 using the Outline Format.

Thursday - Students will continue to work on taking notes on Ch 5, section 2 using the Outline Format.

Friday - Today was the last day for collecting current earthquake data. Today was also the deadline for completing the notes for Ch 5, section 2. Monday we will start reading Ch 5, section 3.
