Mr. González' Classes Homework/ Daily Activities Week 13, 3/12 to 3/16

6th grade Science: Monday - We will review our KWL from Friday. Then we will start a Salmon Life Cycle Webquest. HW - None Tuesday - I will have a sub today to work on writing a proposal to Best Buy for a $250,000 district-wide grant. I will be working with representatives from each building in the district along with both of our principals. This is an opportunity that is too good to pass up! Students will continue to work on their Salmon Life Cycle Webquest. HW - None Wednesday - Today all 6th graders will have an HIV/AIDS awareness course taught by Hilary Metzger. HW - None Thursday - I will have a sub again today to continue to work on the Best Buy grant proposal. Students will continue to work on their Salmon Life Cycle Webquest. HW - None Friday - Trimester Break - No School HW - None

7th grade Science: Monday - Today we will begin to read Ch 5, section 3 on the damage earthquakes can do. HW - None Tuesday - I will have a sub today to work on writing a proposal to Best Buy for a $250,000 district-wide grant. I will be working with representatives from each building in the district along with both of our principals. This is an opportunity that is too good to pass up! Students will finish reading Ch 5, section 3 and then begin the SCAN-n-RUN reading strategy on Ch 6, section 1 on Volcanoes. They will take notes in Outline Format. HW - None Wednesday - I gave a formative assessment quiz today called Which Shape Floats Best? Students also continued to take notes on Ch 6, section 1 in Outline Format. HW - None Thursday - I will have a sub again today to continue to work on the Best Buy grant proposal. I had progress reports ready for this class so my substitute passed those out today. Students will continue to take notes on Ch 6, section 1 in Outline Format. HW - None Friday - Trimester Break - No School HW - None
