Use this checklist for any time you
work with other people to accomplish a common
goal.
5
Points:
Excellent (I displayed
all of the following characteristics
correctly)
- You communicate
effectively with your team. They get what you are
saying.
- You share ideas with
your team and engage them in discussion every
time.
- You listen to what your
teammates have to say. You wait your turn.
- You help your team by
explaining (you don't just give them
answers).
- You contribute; you do
your own share. You don't just sit back and let others do
all the work.
- You let others do their
share; you don't do all the work yourself.
- You are with your team;
you don't wander off to talk about things unrelated to
the class topic.
- You encourage and praise
your teammates on a regular basis.
- When difficulties arise,
you help problem solve.
3
Points:
Great start but you
still need to improve
- You sometimes
communicate effectively with your team, but sometimes
they misunderstand you.
- You share ideas with
your team sometimes, other times you keep your ideas to
yourself.
- You don't always listen
to your teammates.
- You sometimes give
answers without really showing teammates how to do get
the answer, or you just tell them the answer without
saying where it came from.
- You contribute; you do
your own share most of the time. Sometimes you do sit
back and let the others work without paying attention to
what they are doing.
- You sometimes just do
the work yourself because, otherwise, it just won't get
done.
- You are with your team
most of the time, but sometimes you wander off to talk to
a friend on another team.
- You rarely encourage and
praise your teammates.
- Sometimes when problems
arise, you help make the problem worse not
better.
1
Points:
Still in the learning
stage, you have to try using more skills
- You find it difficult to
communicate effectively with your team.
- You rarely share your
ideas with your team.
- You often tune your
teammates out and don't listen.
- You rarely give answers
and when you do, you don't explain. It's too much work
because they don't understand you.
- You often just sit back
and let others do all the work.
- You often work by
yourself and don't include your teammates.
- You wander off quite a
bit to talk to others about things not related to the
class topic.
- You never encourage and
praise your teammates.
