Can you believe that school has started! Today is our first day back to school and I’m very excited for this brand new school year. I have the great pleasure of getting to work with every 6th grader as they enter middle school for the first time. I’m also very fortunate to get to work with two-thirds of our 8th graders! It’s great to work with students I’ve worked with before and some of my 8th graders were with me in 6th and 7th grade too. How cool is that?
Check my Homework/Daily Work website often to keep track of what we’re doing especially if you need to miss a day (you can subscribe via RSS to get updates as they happen). For our day-to-day business in the classroom I use a Moodle site to launch our tech projects. You can access both these sites from home anytime. Subscribing to this blog either via email or RSS will also help keep you up to date with what goes on in Science too. I will also send email reminders to parents who have their email on file with our school through Skyward. Finally all my students will be blogging about what they learn in Science at our Science Class Blog so parents please bookmark your child’s webpage (you can also subscribe to your child’s page via RSS to be updated when your child adds a post) and please leave your child comments on their work when you can.
