After working on this class book in my Monday/Friday writing class since September 11 of this year, we finally finished it! You can snap a pic or click on the QR code below or click here to read our book online:
Students researched their articles after we watched a 9/11 Memorial video to give them a shared background understanding of what happened that day. Students wrote rough drafts on their own and then used some kind of AI to polish their rough drafts into a more polished draft that was published in our book. Some students used Bing Chat, some just used Grammarly, and others used Curipod’s AI for feedback.
A big thank you to those who have read our book! As of today, January 2, 2024, we not only have 35 reads but our book has been read from all over the world in FIVE countries!
I teach 5th and 6th grade STEM in the lovely Pacific Northwest in a small, rural town called Chimacum. My goal is to help students discover that all learning is life-long and that 21st century tools can be used for work as well as fun.
