Tammie Schrader, with whom I’ve been co-presenting for many years now, and I submitted four proposals to the upcoming 2024 NCCE Conference, the Northwest USA’s premier educational technology conference and we got three of our proposals accepted! There is still time to register so click the image or link above to secure your spot. Click here to see all three of our workshops (two) and session (one).
We got our AI in Education workshop accepted, AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) AND IT’S USE IN THE CLASSROOM, Thursday, February 15, 1:00 pm–2:50 pm, Seattle Convention Center – 618, a workshop based off of the one we are presenting this February for the Washington Education Association (WEA). Here are our slides for the workshop with amazing resources – it is mean to be presented using Pear Deck. (Click here if you don’t see the presentation below.)
We also got a gamification workshop accepted, Learn About Gamification in a Gamified Way, Wednesday, February 14, 10:00 am–11:50 am, Seattle Convention Center – 618, where participants will learn about gamification by playing Classcraft! Classcraft has been my go to LMS for years now and my students LOVE it. Here are the slides for the introduction of this workshop. The rest of our time together participants will “play” Classcraft in teams as they take a Gamification 101 course. If you have Classcraft, click here to check out the Gamification 101 quest! (Click here if you don’t see the slideshow below.)
We also got an Esports session showing participants how to start an esports program at their school approved, ESPORTS FOR ANY GRADE LEVEL AND ANY CLASS, Friday, February 16, 8:00 am–8:50 am, Seattle Convention Center – 609. This session is also based off of one of our WEA workshops on esports. Here are the slides for that one. (Click here if you don’t see the slideshow below.)
The workshop that did not get approved for this year’s NCCE is one Tammie and I created about using Minecraft Education in the classroom. It is also based off of our WEA 9-hour or 12-hour workshop series. We recently completed a series of the WEA workshops in November so we should be offering the WEA version of this in the spring or summer. (Click here if you don’t see the slideshow below.)
